Current Amenities & Community Life
In Real de Talpa, where we embrace a unique, evolving community built by those who choose to be part of it. Here, sustainability, shared responsibility, and a deep connection to the land guide our way of life.
Our common areas provide the foundation for a self-sustaining lifestyle. We have a tilapia pond, offering a source of fresh fish and an opportunity for owners to engage in community-driven aquaculture. Our poultry area is home to chickens and ducks, ensuring a supply of fresh eggs, while seasonal fruit trees, sugar cane, and organic edible plants can be cultivated to enhance our food independence.
While Real de Talpa is continuously growing, our approach is different from conventional developments—we build as we go, based on the needs and contributions of the community. Areas previously designated for parking, solar systems, and an orchard have been modified to green spaces, to be developed in alignment with future community priorities.
Sustainability & Off-Grid Living
As part of our commitment to self-sufficiency, our homes are designed with sustainability in mind. Solar energy, rainwater harvesting, and bio-digesters play a key role in reducing our environmental footprint.
A Community Rooted in Connection
More than just a place to live, Real de Talpa is a space for self-discovery, collaboration, and shared purpose. Serene swings throughout the property invite moments of reflection and stillness. There are no rigid structures or expectations here.
Each resident plays a role in sustaining the community. Contributing through maintenance fees is part of the commitment to ownership, ensuring that essential services such as security, maintenance, farm workers, and administration are funded. Beyond that, residents have the opportunity to engage in farming, gardening, and caring for animals—not as a requirement, but as a way to connect with the land, participate in community life, and be part of something greater than themselves.
The growth, quality, and success of our shared spaces and amenities are a direct reflection of the commitment and participation of our members. The more we contribute—financially and through community efforts—the more our shared vision flourishes. When individuals choose not to contribute, the community as a whole feels the impact, limiting what we can create and sustain together.
A Life Created Together
As new owners continue to arrive and settle in, we stand on the threshold of an exciting new chapter—one shaped by the people who choose to belong. Each individual brings their unique experiences and wisdom, enriching the collective journey. This is not about rigid schedules or pre-defined lifestyles, but about embracing a way of life that honors self-sufficiency, mutual support, and a conscious connection to the land.
